Politics is traditionally seen as a 2-way line - you are either a liberal or a conservative but what really differentiates a liberal from a conservative can often be misleading:
Take the “abortion” issue as an example. A liberal will likely support the woman’s right to get rid of an unwanted child while denying the child’s right to live. A conservative, on the other hand, will limit the personal liberty of a woman while advocating the rights of an unborn child, or, of a living thing before it may, biologically, be called a child.
Added to the confusion is the fact that while a liberal will openly support abortion, his stand will undoubtedly change when his/her own daughter happens to have an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy - he/she will try everything to persuade the soon-to-be mother not to do anything that may harm the child. A conservative, faced with the same situation, will probably make arrangement for an immediate hospital visit for his/her daughter - job done, the soon the better.
We don’t really know where we stand until personal interests come into play. Worse still, the political universe is in reality a lot more complicated than what may be represented in a one-dimensional 2-way line. Who are you - you say that you value “liberty” but cannot resist peeking into someone’s bedroom and demanding to impose laws to discriminate the act of two consenting adults; you say that you want “freedom” and yet you support quotas and tariffs to curb the flow of free trades; you say that you cherish “democracy” and yet you don’t think there is anything undemocratic to lock people up, indefinitely, without trial; you say that you condemn “terrorism” but think that it is kinda cool to practise some precision bombings in a densely populated city like Fallujah.
Are you about to lose your sanity trying to figure out where you really stand in this complex and diversified world of politics. No worry. Find it out from the World’s Smallest Political Quiz. The last time I checked, there was over 6.5 million people who had taken part.

I thought I was a conservative when I was running a billion dollar multi-national enterprise many many years’ ago and then I became a liberal when the reality of being stuck in this urine-stained basement flat took hold. Until I took the quiz, I didn’t know I am in fact a ……………
