There is a good number of flickr viewers available to enhance our enjoyment of all those fantanstic photos in possibly one of the best photo archives on the net. Many of these viewers are flash-based; although they are fun to play with, they tend to get a little distracting. My preference is to use thumbnails + lightbox.

Here are my flicr groups and to do this, you will need phpFlickr.

phpFlickr needs minimum configuration to get it working - a Flickr API key and a connection string to your mySQL. These have to be given to define a new Flickr object:

$f = new phpFlickr(“[your API Key]”);
$f->enableCache(
“db”,
“mysql://[user name]:[password]@[server]/[database name]”
