Whistleblowers
August 28, 2007
We do not have whistleblowers in China for we know damn well that if anyone dares to report irregular/unlawful conducts of government officials or employees of state firms, he or she will be punished openly and swiftly. The fear for the loss of jobs and family, imprisonment and/or even death will effectively stifle any dissents.
Whistleblowers only exists in a democratic country like America for they can rely on their constitution for protection. A must-read for those who wish to gain a better understanding of how democracy works in the West.
Or is it simply the art of modern day looting?

China Doll, if you are familiar with how are constitution reads, it simply says we of the U.S. have an obligation to protect our freedoms by risking our own personal comfort and safety. Our freedom is only as good as what we are willing to sacrifice to keep it. To challenge how our government and those who represent it conduct themselves is the duty, the cost of democracy. We do not guarantee you will not come to harm or suffer from an imperfect system of justice. Believing you are in the right only allows you a jury of you peers, not absolution for your actions. I cannot say in good conscience I would understand the nature of what happens when someone in China would risk everything to stand for what they believe when it differs with official policy. You could help us understand, simply by what you tell us in your observations.
